MIRRAT staff and customers including representatives from Port of Melbourne recently spent several hours cleaning up the waterways boarding our facility as part of World Ocean Day. The team removed approximately 250 kgs of plastic and rubbish which had built up in the area over several years.

Starting in 2009, World Oceans Day has also been officially recognized by the United Nations. This celebration of our ocean brings together organizations and individuals from schools, universities, aquariums, zoos, businesses, and others, including divers, surfers, sailors, communities of faith, governments, the maritime, recreational and tourism industries.
